Brookyn Palmer

I am a 18 year old student studying Level 3 Game Design at Coventry City College. I’m studying game design as I have a deep interesting in the subject as I have been playing games for a good majority of my life. Over the past year I have learnt skills in Softwares such as Adobe Photoshop which has been used for primarily for drawing concept art, Maya 2019 for practising and making models for college projects as well as for fun, Substance Painter to texture my models in order to make them more detailed for my games and Unreal Engine for prototype projects which I have made for my previous end of the year project.

My personal interests include gaming (hence the choice of a game design course) as well as going to the gym and watching movies. I have been playing games for over ten years now, with my first game being Spiderman 2 on the Nintendo DS. Since then I have poured thousands of hours into playing different games across many console generations. From the DS, Wii, Xbox 360, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and PC I have played games from all sorts of genres. I would say my favourite genres of games to play are RPGs/JRPGs, Horror, and Multiplayer games. Some of my favourite games include the Inazuma Eleven Series, the Resident Evil series and The Pokemon series including the spin off games like Ranger or Mystery Dungeon. Apart from playing games I also enjoy going to the gym in order to try and stay in shape as well as watching movies by myself or with friends. As well as these I enjoy going out with friends around town, to the cinema or just spending time playing games with them as well. Cooking is also an interest I would like to pursue but I have sadly never had the time to, although I would enjoy to in the future.
